opinions on new combo needed.. stroker and heads etc.

Guys,

Im looking at getting the following... can you see anything ive missed that i should be buying (i dont mean like a KB 2.2 :rolleyes:) The existing spec is in the sig..

Livernois motorsports 302" rotating assesmly, balanced, steel crank, forged H beam rods, 25cc forged pistons.

Ported PI Heads and intake manifold. Head changing kit.. ie bolts, gaskets etc.

VT Stange 2 blower cams, with cam timing kit.

42# injectors

BBK ceramic coated long tubes and some kind of H pipe.. porbably custom mod my existing H pipe to fit..

Centre Line convo-pro 15x10" (5 1/2" back space) wheels, with BFG 275/50/15.

That should all work pretty good together i though...

has any one had experience with those engine componants ???

advice would be greatly appreciated..

I would research the benefit stroker kit. my point is if running the stock intake but spending coin on a stroker kit make sure that money is in the right place. would a p-51 on a 281 make more power? I would do custom ground cams and this expensive of setup.

I would call someone who builds high hp motors everyday and pick there brain a bit. I have a feeling spending money on a stroker but no poping for a better intake may cost you something.

then running a cam that is ground for factory displacment is going to cost you something. If you are really going to spend this much coin I would really cover all my bases and make sure the money is in the right place.

I am not expert though just making some sugestions. I would call the guys and modular powerhouse and just run what they recomend as they build alot of insane stuff.

this setup will make a boatload of power make sure you compression ratio, fasters, etc are all up to snuff. it is easy to piece stuff to gether and get the wrong part here or there. that is where someone who does this everday can give you great advice.

doesn't matter what intake you put on, a stroker isn't going to yield much either way you go
 
i was really only looking at the stroker as its practically the same cost as getting all forged internals in 281" displacement. I though, for the extra $200 or whatever it is, i might as well get it.. I wasnt looking forextra power from the 302", its just the kind of..." i might as well" mentality, i mean, surely, 5.0 has got to be a bit torque-ier than a 4.6 ?

also i can use my existing block and just hone it.. i didnt really want to go even 20 over as it doesnt need it, and it reduced the number of times you can bore when you actually do need to.

my concern with the p-51 is that it "may" not fit under the stock hood, i know its ment to, but didnt a guy on here have issues.. i really dont want a cowl.. so thats why im not looking at the KB either..

cam wise... who does custom grinds, i mean, im sure someone has already done a 302" stroker blower cam... I'll have to find out who and get me a pair of those...
