Opinions on rear axle build.

Ive decided that I want to eventually do another turbo build, but this time with a big twin (since MA removed emissons for our cars! yay) so, being I replaced the first weak link (t-5) with a tremec and a nice spec stage 2 clutch, and alum. driveshaft Im moving to the rear end.

I have a stock setup now and plan to install 3:55 gears, a 8.8 31 spline truck trac-loc carrier, girdled diff cover and axles.

I would like to get opinions of what axle brands and models are the strongest and will work with what I have planned. Thanks!

thats similiar to the setup I have except I have 3.73's. I haven't had sticky tires on it yet, but on the novi setup its held up perfectly fine...

ive been using superior axles 28 spline for a couple years.

I think people on here have had problems with Strange Axles.

Superior 31 splines are probably your best bet. I went with Mosers because I got a great deal on them, but would have gone with Superiors.

I'd recommend an 03 cobra diff with Superior axles and then the FRPP ring and pinion of your choice. And if you want a girdle, my MAC has held up fine with no leaks and it's probably the cheapest one out there.
