I did a search and advanced search and came up with nothing, so does anyone have it. How do you guys like it. Im going to be changing out the POS clutch fan pretty soon so I dont sound like a jet. Im trying to decide between the black magic (209.99) or the proform (135.99). They both seem to come equiped with the same stuff. I have already ruled out the sn95 electric fans and lincon fans, my tool are very limited for right now

Rumor has it the electric fans off of the mod-motor V-8 T'birds and Cougars are the same as the honkin' Lincoln Mk VIII fans - and the junk yards usually sell them for significantly less.

Is that true. I have a 94 t-bird V-8 that I could try it from. It works very well on my t-bird. 95*+ weather and the a/c blasting in traffic, doesn't go over the N in normal and my gauge reads N O R M. So it keeps it nice and cool.
I wonder how much work it would be to fit?
Any ideas

BTW sorry to hijack, but it seems useful :nice:

The proform blades are as strong as paper mache. I broke apart proform fan #1 by tapping a blade by accident with a wrench while removing the water pump. I broke another blade taking the fan off....and I was being careful at that point too.

As far as cooling and energy draw is concerned, it's a good unit. That thermostat built in is crap and barely works but if it does, it does an adequate job.

Overall, it's worth $130 but dont expect it to do any miracles.

I had the Proform, and the temperature probe is made out of some cheap copper or brass crap. The "sensor" which looked like a big glob of sodder, broke off the second time I tried to stick it through the rad. I promptly returned it.

I highly recommend the Taurus fan and a DCC controller.

My setup cost me $109 for the DCC, and $30 for the fan. That's 4 bucks more than the proform fan, and the taurus fan swap not only sucks more air, but covers more of the radiator.
