B-town NV
building my first v-8 in my 69 coupe.

306 block
re-worked heads (oversized valves, roller rockers, new springs)
Cam is still undecided.
edelbrock torker II intake ( hope its not to much for the 306)
holley 650 cfm double pumper
accel 300+ ignition and coil
accel distributor(need to find the right one to match)
electric fan
holley blue pump
custom "cold" air intake (will use NOS top shot hidden system (still up in the air) as my base and build around it.)
gears are still up in the air.

what do you guys think my torque and hp will be?

critique as much as you want
i strive off of your knowledge

I hold no love for the Torker2. I think the TorkerI was one of the best SBF manifolds and they screwed up bigtime when they came out with the TorkerII.

With that said, I don't see anything in your combo that would warrant a Torker, unless you're running a manual trans, then you could get away with it if you wanted. Otherwise I'd use a Stealth or PerfRPM.

What are you gonna use the car for? What trans? What compression ratio? Are the heads ported? All of these play a part in cam selection.

I'd at least use ported & worked 351W heads, if not something aftermarket.

Accel dizzys are overpriced and look like a PITA to tune. I'd go Duraspark, but I'm biased.

I had a 302 bored to 306 with a weiand stealth intake, pocket ported 89 GT heads, a com x-cam 268 grind, and headers in my 73 mustang. That was the most awsome engine I ever built. It pulled like crazy all the way up the rpm range. I had a carter 625 carb on it and managed to usually get 14/22 mpg.
