This is a little embarasing, but after I lowered my car and put one inch spacers in back my tires hit and it took a little chunk out of them. Not a big deal, no leaks or anything. So I decided to "roll" the inner fender lip with a rubber mallet. I did a little research, but apparently not enough on the proper way to do this. Now I have a few stress dents/ripples that are really annoying to look at. What are my affordable options? I thought that one option would be to put chrome fender trim on (not a fan of it though) or I could get something like that and paint them to match - just a thought. Anything else? Anyone else make the same mistake?

Thanks for all you help.

Oh man...To me nothing sounds good except taking it into a good shop for some bodywork to avoid having to put on any gawdy out of place trim. Good luck with it.

Yeah, I figured that a piece of trim would be the wrong choice. I have seen some "export fender flares" and thought that might look okay. Any pics?

Is there anything that I can do to relieve some of the stress possibly minimizing the ripples until I have enough to do the job right? Any sort of dent removal tool?

there are tons of dent removal tools but the best way for us to tell you what to use is for us to see what the damage is to your car...get us some pics and we can direct you from there

damn, that sucks to hear, man.

if you're gonna do fender trim, i vote for those export flares (i think Shinoda makes them) painted to match.

otherwise, maybe you can pound the dents out w/ a metal working hammer and a wood block? that, or take it to a body shop.

ha i've always wanted to do that. but seriously, pictures would be helpful so we can see how much damage there is and whether or not paintless dent repair could work.

I just got my car out of storage last night (its a little early) because my DD broke down for good. Once I get a chance, I will post some pics.
