All the 2.3L gurus, where do you get your intercooler piping from? I ordered a complete 65mm upper/lower w/ supercoupe throttle body and the cable I'll need. I requested that the throttle body be front facing so it will make my life alot easier with a front mount intercooler. I've seen many pictures of 2.3L on the website with front mount throttle bodies, but where are you getting your piping made? Is there a company that makes the piping, or are you having exhaust shops do it for you? I'm in quite a hurry to get the car done and on the road.

i actually had an exhaust shop quote me $500-600 to do my intercooler piping.. 2 1/2" all mandrel bent. I also had another place quote me $90 for what sounded like a hack job. Your best bet is find a buddy that can weld and buy the bends you need yourself imo. I didnt do mine myself, I ending up buying stingers old setup which was homemade. I would've tried to do it myself but dont have acess to a welder.

Heres a link to an ebay store that sells all kinds of mandrel bends. I'm sure there are other places as well. They also sell silicone hose that you can use for pipe connectors. link

I ran across something recently (on TF, I think) called marine exhaust tubing. It's 2" or 2.5" in diameter and is really stiff black rubber hose, slightly flexible. I'm thinking that straight pieces of that and mandrel-bent steel curves would work pretty darn well for IC tubing.

Well, my roomate has a gas assisted mig welder, just means I'll be forced to use stainless or steel piping, I wanted to use aluminum, but I dont have access to a tig welder. Thats for the piping link, very useful! :nice:

:bang: my lord its EXPENSIVE!

I'm debating whether or not to have the throttle body twisted or not, bob is asking what I want before he goes any further. 90* bend means I have to relocate the alternator, is that a big pain in the ass to move?

its an 88 TC motor.
