That is definently a good look. Im going for the same type of thing even though I wish mine had the cobra emblems. Those are cars are expensive. Gotta save up but I almost own my 03 gt and the note would be nice to not have. Gonna look sick

Oh me too, but we unfortunately can't use the Cobra for work.

Honestly im not sure who its made by LOL. I picked it up @ FFW for $169. We had to do quite abit of work on it ourselves and then the body shop charged $500 to finish it up (yea...didnt do a GREAT job) and paint it top and bottom.
It weighs like 23#s and the bottom WAS all sealed up. Basically its double layered. But I cut out where the louvers are so it would vent air, and were my turbo outlet pipes go into the IC.

My body shop guy called last night....the hood came in yesterday.

I still can't believe he shipped it here at that price. That just leads me to believe that all the other companies are plain ole' rip-offs.

PLEASE post pics when done! I'm getting another hood after my next mod and would love to see how it loks at all angles.

Will do. I'm going to try and drop the car off on Friday (he called me to tell me he can take my car earlier). If you do decide on the 00R hood, our cars will look very similar other than color, so you'll have a good gauge on what yours would look like. We even both have Cobra sideskirts I think overall, the 00R hood is one of the sexiest around, if not THE most sexi. I have come to hate the stock hood and the fake scoop. From day one, my scoop's paint was etched with waterspots that, no matter what I did detailing wise, wouldn't come out. I got everything else out of the paint (scratches, spots, etc), but not off the scoop. Fuggin crappy Ford paint.

I'm still wondering how they shipped it so cheaply.

And a funny side story:

I bought some aftermarket headlights on eBay last month and the guy posted in his auction that shipping was via UPS ground. Well, I paid the extra money required for the "super expensive" shipping to Hawaii, and waited. And waited. And waited. 10 or so days later, my stuff arrives USPS. So, I'm like WTF, and leave him neutral feedback, saying that other than listing shipping as UPS and shipping USPS, overall the experience was good. He lists my feedback saying I'm stupid, or something to that effect.

Funny thing is, I ordered some Silkolene octane boost for my car (3 liters worth) and they shipped it via UPS ground. I should take a picture of the label and email it to that moron just to remind him that he's a total idiot.

That's a badass hood ... congrats. Just make sure it's painted at a good place because painting a hood is a PITA and many places will cut corners.

Ya, the guy who's painting the car and fixing the damages came very recommended from a number of people.

He's really anal, and my friend who's in a car club said only he (body shop guy) paints his cars. He said they guy once spent over an hour buffing out a small area on a trunklid, not liking the results, and repainting it again because he wasn't satisfied with the outcome.

That's what I like to hear because not only do you know that he cares about his work but he probably uses good paint, etc.. Is he going to blend it with the front fenders? I know I'm thinking way ahead but if so, how much is it gonna run you to have it painted? Just curious because I need my hood re-painted and I suck at painting hoods! I can spray a car pretty damn good but hoods just suck to paint IMO. (takes forever to get it right) ...

I got mine from HO Fibertrends. Great place and cheaper than most. They also "padded" some areas with additional support for my Redline struts. Only issue I had is there looks almost like a bubble next to some of the vents. You can only see it if you're anal like me and the light catches it right. Also on the rear of the cowl it looks like it's pitted. I'm sure it had some things to do with prep, but it's all good.

I apologize for some of the bad quality. My Mom took them while I was in Iraq and her camera had a crack in the lens.

HUSH ABOUT THE GRILL DELETE

Gotta love rain and hydroplaning

For one, who said they aren't? You should be happy I closed your thread and stopped the bleeding. If you think it's "rice" to have a 00R hood, you're on the wrong site. If you want to leave, I'll be happy to shut the door on your ass on the way out. Mustang World would be happy to have another member.

If you're still angry that your brother's car got bashed so badly, blame yourself. No one bashed YOUR car. In fact, you only got compliments didn't you?

We can't help it if your brother has no taste, but if you're going to start getting personal and making comments that can be construed as a personal attack, you won't be around much longer.

He has: *03/04 Cobra wheels 18x9

These serve NO function except adding weight. Get some 15" skinny's up front and DR's in the rear... Ricer!

It's all in the eye of the behold. I've been called a ricer because of my 00R front bumper...
