Ordering a Mustang

When you order a car - when does the dealer want your trade? When the order is signed or when your car is delivered? Given the 3-4 months wait that Im seeing - I would hate to be without a car for that long.

On that note Marine One, how long did it take for everyone's stang to come in once it was built? Mine was built on the 15th of this month with an ETA of today, but it's not in yet. Ordered back on Dec 27th so it has been exactly 2 months to this point. I imagine it should be here any time.

Mine arrived exactly six weeks from the day it was ordered. 2007 GT Convertible.

Anyone else? I am now to 15 total days from when it was finished being built and still no delivery. Starting to think something really weird is going on, I mean Dearborn, Mi is only a 6 hour drive from where I am. Just trying to get an idea what everyone else waited once their pony was born.
