Ordering New Shelby Questions

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about ordering a new 2010 shelby and have a few questions.

Is it possible to get the super snake hood or even the 2008KR style hood instead of the stock hood?

I'd also wanted it lowered with the alcoa wheels.

Can you get this from the factory or does it need to be modifed at the dealership?

You can get some aftermarket hoods, but from what I read the fit is crap.

If you want the real hoods, then your going to have to get someone with a real one and use that vin. They dont want them on other cars.

As for the wheels, I think you can go on the Shelby site and get them there.

On a 2010 you can not use 07-09 hoods because of the redisgn. Now the SS hood is coming out for the 2010 but IMO it looks ugly on the new body.

Its actually much harder to get a KR hood than that. Yuu need pic of damage, VIN, insurance claim, dealer approval, and rumor has it you have to ship the damaged hood back.

The Super snake hood shows up on the Shelby auto parts catalog online for $1099. Its very similar to the KR, but like others stated, doubt it fits the 2010. I'm thinking about a GT500 myself and adding a few Super snake touches like the hood and wheels.
