I'm a classic guy with a question on the pump safety switch.

I am installing a fuel pump inertia switch from a 94-98 Ford product in my FFR Cobra for safety cut-off, and want to know if the switch must me mounted in a certain orientation. It appears to be needed to mount with the red button up.

How is it mounted in the cars?

Also, the one I have feels like it has a large metal ball inside and when shaken hard will pop the switch. Is this how it works?

Many Thanks from an "Old" guy!

dont think it has to be installed in this position but all the ones i have seen was installed like this.
yes that is how it works. if the car has a sudden hard stop it will trip and activate the switch cutting off the fuel supply
