Original Cobra Wheels

Ok so I have found a set of original cobra II rims (the aluminum mags with 5 oval holes) but they are sitting on a 74 chevy vega?? is this possible cuz i checked the bolt pattern and they are the same... are they the original style and fit for my application?? cuz i have found rims that "look alike" the cobra style wheels but arent cuz they have a diff. bolt pattern or are not wide enough or too large... plz any advice will be useful

I cant answer your question, but I have 1 for you. How do you find out weather your original rims were those 5 ovals ralley things or the snowflake style ones? Thanks,

Are you sure they are the same bolt pattern? The slots were a popular wheel for a lot of cars, factory and aftermarket. I used to have a set floating around the garage off of a 'Cuda, a buddy had them on his camaro....
From what I found the Vegas were a 4 on 4" circle not the same as the II's and up 4 on 4.25". Here's a handy little chart http://www.teufert.net/wheels/bolt-pat.htm.

1WildII - to tell you the truth, I don't know if they were the original rims that came on my cobra, all I know is that that style came on some of the IIs and the spoked magnesium rims came on alot of the IIs but I like the first style better and have only found that style around here so there you go...

78MachI - thanks for the info, I will check closer on the bolt pattern/hub opening for fitment to my app. could it be possible that the PO of the vega put a diff. rear end in it and front end in it?? (stupid chevy peeps) lol

And I'm just north of the border with a set of 4 of the "lacy" Cobra mags and 3 of the centers that I want to get rid of (or trade for some 80's Mustang turbines...)
