OT: Going to Alaska!

Just saying goodbye to everyone. I'm headed to Alaska for two weeks! My family and I are taking a cruise the first week and then staying in a cabin up in the Denali. Hopefully I won't be eaten by a grizzly bear or hungry animal! Take care everyone and drive safely in those stangs!

I've been there for awhile, just dont really post much The most beautiful place to me would be one of thoes little tropical island paradices. Should be a fun little trip. Are you flying over to the west coast and going up from there, or taking the ship from FL over?

I was up there for 2 weeks myself, near Fairbanks. It is pretty cool, I saw a couple mooses, and of course the coolest thing the "northern lights"

I'm looking forward to seeing some wildlife!

We're flying from Orlando to Dallas, TX then to Seattle, WA and renting a van to go across the border. From there we board the ship and cruise along the coast of British Columbia (breading ground for the gray whales).

The ship drops us off in Whittier (sp?) and we rent another van and drive to Denali to our cabin.

Since my dad is a pilot, we have to do the plane thing there too. We're going to land on a glacier. The plane has ski's so this is going to be intense!!

Also going to take that famous train, I'm having a brain fart and can't think of its. So basically, on this trip we're going to use every type of transportation! lol

Good luck! I am slotted to go to Alaska at the end of July for my Reserve two weeks. I may not go because I am trying to go back into Active duty Air Force. Hopefully I will be going to school instead of my Reserve time!

I'm going to Alaska in July also. My wife and I are going on our honeymoon. We are taking a 7 day cruise on Celebrity cruise line from the 16-23.
