OT: Good shop for trucks in the NW?

looking for a good shop to put a suspension lift on my truck.

preferrably somewhere around lacey/tacoma region. can anyone recommend a good place? i know there is les schwab around, but im betting i can beat their estimate pretty easily. i hope at least..

theres a couple out in gresham, oregon and clackimas, but les schwab is the only one up there I can think of... I know were high on lift prices... why I have no idea depending on how big a lift you go with, the ones for dodges aren't had at all to install, you dont even need a lift.

yeah, was quoted 2k for the 6" fabtech kit installed.

looking into a simple spindle and rear block lift now to keep prices down. maybe ill go crazy and do the suspension lift anyway lol.

spindle? is your truck 2wd? btw when you bringin the 700r down?

yea, its 2wd. i love the lifted look but never go offroad, so it was worth the savings i got on the truck. paid about 10k less then the cheapest 4wd i could find in the 04+ years.

im selling my quad, kinda ironic since i just got a truck for myself huh? if you know anyone wanting a clean 700 send them my way. just trying to consolodate all my bills down, quad is a big bill considering its been sitting for 5 months. so its time to sell.

try 4 wheel parts in tacoma(4wheelparts.com), they install their kits too and i bet its cheaper than schwab, LMK if you hear of any olympia area mustang news/meets, i'd really like to go to one, its just not worth the drive to seattle..

going to try them with an install quote tomorrow, thanks for the info mark. they seem to be pretty competitve on the pricing of the lift itself.

the difference will be in how much they want for installation though. i dont have a stang anymore, so im not really up on the meets down here unfortunately. most of the things i went to were puyallup and north though. not alot happens down here.

i got my truck now, i spend money on it and i can actually drive it everyday and not worry about it. i think ill stick to this now and maybe a street bike for a toy. hmm i do value my life though, so ill probably hold off on the bike.

originally i got a quote from schucks for $3500 out the door for a 6". but then i found a used 6" tuff country on craigslist and called around for an install. billy bobs in puyallup says $600 install labor which i think is decent considering i'm lazy and don't feel like doing it myself. btw the 36" 10ton 4x4 jackstands i bought when i was thinking of actually dyi cost me a cool $120! still need to find a jack to match it.

i actually found a place that will do the install for a good price. about 600 less then les schwab otd. if i end up doing the suspension lift ill definately be going to them. i appreciate the offer to help though man. i had enough fun doing my leveling spacers lol.

wasnt so much how long it took, but things werent done right lol.

my girls stepdad did them for me, since he has tools, spring compressor, ect. he didnt support my truck right and left it in neutral. so halfway through it almost fell off the jackstands.

then the spring compressor arms somehow came untensioned and it twisted all the way back down and the spring completely uncompressed. luckily it went back into the spring perch and not out.

just some crap like that. think it was like 3 hours out in the rain watching.

I havent done a fabtec lift on a dodge and not on a 2wd lol so I would say a full day with a lift and full air tools and whatnot, so I'd give it a weekend just to be safe, and you'd still have to have it aligned

going to call tomorrow and make sure its in stock at this place. then ill probably get it done up in puyallup. only downside was having to leave my truck there a few days, its my only transportation for now.
