OT: Know anything about Thunderbird SCs?

I would avoid them just because of the 3.8 and it's appetite for head gaskets. My 3.8 Windstar blew up twice in 148k miles.

Turns out, There are about 4 torque settings for the head bolts, depending on year, etc, that Ford developed trying to make head gaskets live. The SC had its own settings and was the highest of all.

Other than that, the 3.8 is a nice engine with good longevity and lots of power potential. The heads should flow very well even stock.
