I've written a program that uses a database to try to figure out what town the visitor is coming from. By their own admission, they say the database isn't very accurate, so I wrote an app against it and am trying to test it.

Just put in the city you are in, and it will run a check and store your city vs what city it thinks you're in. It takes a few minutes to load.

I'm really curious to see how the oregon DB works. Thanks!
 
It basically takes your IP addy and figures out the closest server it's routed through... Kinda cool. I'm actually in Portland, but routed through the vancouver, wa. comcast server. As far as finding the area, it's really acurate, but exact location would be a little harder.
