Just curious... I have not seen a lot of posts from new 3 valve owners. I love the design and just wasnt to know if the MSRP is pretty much what you will expect to pay. As much as I love it, I'd rather get something factory like the upcoming Boss or Shelby GT for under $40,000 (Hopefully more like <$35,000).

I would imagine you can get them for about $40k based on the fact that I paid $3k under MSRP for a 2006 SC.

From time to time used 2005's are for sale too. I know of one guy getting a 2005 SC for $43k that has 3,000 miles on it.

If you are interested in shopping do so via email. Contact the internet deparments at the Saleen dealers here in California and see what they are willing to do to move inventory. Being up in LA County I'd try Galpin first. Dealers may be more in the mood to cut prices to move out the last of the 2006 models at this time too.

....if you HAVE to own a new car then do what Jeff mentioned and contact some internet sales managers that are local. If you don't mind buying one with less then 10,000 miles on them used still under warranty, I've seen many 3V S281's already in the low $30ks and even a few in the upper $20k's. Let someone else take that "depreciation" hit and save yourself some money......

If you want a new Shelby, be prepared to pay around $62,000 + out the door. That was the deal I was offered.

Yeah there are some pampered used cars out there. 2005 3 Valves for low 30k. There's even a 2005 3 Valve with an aftermarket supercharger listed for 36k on ebay now.
