Holy sh.. that must of hurt, atleast he somewhat saw it coming and started to lift himself off the bike before impact, might of helped him a little. Prime example why you always look in your mirrors when sitting at a light and keep it in first gear with the clutch pulled in for that quick launch if neccesary. I even use to watch in my mirror when sitting at a light and when I saw a car coming i'd tap my brake lights to give the guy behind me a heads up.

Got to be awake on a bike, people in cars always trying to kill you in the name of stuuuuuuuuuuupidity.
Hopefully the cop got out and shot the driver of the truck dead on the spot, to remove him from the pool.

And that right there is the reason that I don't ride bikes as it's just not worth the risks when things go wrong. You can look in your rear view mirrors all you like, but by the time you realize that truck is not stopping it's too late.

people become retarded when they see flashing lights.
I was almost ran over today by a woman in a minivan. I had an ambulance parked to block the southbound on ramp, and I was setting up flares just in case someone did not see the big red ans white ambulance with flashing lights.
The woman who was driving was driving towards me going five miles an hour. I had to yell at her to stop. She asked me if she could get on the free way. I told her no, and that the ambulance and flares were there for a reason.
I sat at that intersection for a good 20 minutes and saw at least ten people run the red light or turn onto opposing traffic because they were confused.
