I was reading my scheduled maintenance guide today, and toward the back in the exceptions page, it says vehicles using the Motorcraft 75w140, or any full synthetic differential fluid are lifetime lubed and should never be checked or changed unless a leak is suspected or you run through deep water.

According to this, changing the differential fluid is not a scheduled maintenance item.

Anyone else seen this? Opinions?

Doesn't say.. but it's the 04 scheduled maint. guide I guess.

I just changed my ZJ's front and rear fluid after 170k miles.. rear stuff looked horrible, front was even worse.

I don't think I believe the lifetime lube thing.
