whats up guys..i just bought a pair of catz 9007 galaxy white bulbs and so did my friend on his 01 ss. his lights are 2x brighter then mine from the same distance. I got one of the brightest bulbs you can ever get without going HID and the lighting sucks, its "o.k". I looked at the housing and their is a aluminum dark piece that covers the bulb so you cant see it from the outside of the car..What will happen if i Take that out? will it be really bright, or will it NOT REFLECT light at all? please let me know, thanks..I really want to remove it!

I believe that piece is there for the purpose of reflecting the light. Since our headlights have clear lenses, a seperate reflector needs to be used to help disperse the light. Otherwise, it would be about as well-aimed as a cheap flashlight. The only thing I can think of is that you might try a set of '99-'00 housings since they are not tinted, but IMHO they look like crap in the daytime.

hmm?

i hated my clear housing headlights and picked up clear cornered black housing headlights off ebay. Looks awesome now. I dont have a problem with how bright my headlights are, I think they're fine.
