Overdrive Shifting

I believe that this is the correct forum for this question. Is it okay to shift from O/D to O/D Off while driving at low speeds? Does this do any damage to the car? Thanks for your help.

if you are going slow and you turn on youre od button nothing will happen, because the pcm wont let you go from second to fourth

well... i can only assume if you were 'driving you car hard' like, near redlining it in OD (you shouldnt be doing that!) and then shut off the OD you might be in trouble, but im sure the computer is smart enough to only shift down to third when your RPMs reach a safe level... right?

I don't see where there would be any negative impact based on the computer monitored RPMs. In fact, the TransGo shift kit allows you to shift into any gear 1-3, and O/D up or down, but will not down shift from O/D if I push a lot fo RPMs and try to shut it off.
