I’m going to pass all this good advice on to my mechanic and hope we get lucky. Thanks for all these suggestions and taking the time to think about this problem. It is most appreciated. I pray it’s something simple that has just been missed.

How do we not have any pictures of of this vortec induced horse with a puking problem?
Are you sure your mechanic doesen't munchausen syndrome?
Have you run it for an extended period on the street?

Sounds like a flow problem to me. Water or air. You running UD pullies on the crank and water pump? Maybe the water pump is cavitating? Maybe it's running backwards. Reverse rotation water pump?

It's gonna be some thing your mechanic is missing, sometimes the simple things slip by. Air pocket or something like the fast man said in the above post,

I agree. My guess is it’s something that just got overlooked, at least I hope so. I really don’t want to get into the engine.
