My '94 just overheated for the first time in a few years. I was on the way to class, and my aftermarket and stock temp gauge both got up there. The aftermarket one rear around 250*.

Its a very short drive, my car usually doesnt even heat up going that little of a distance.

The heater also was not blowing hot air, and the upper rad hose was hot, but the rad cap was not. Think its the thermostat?

If the thermostat wasn't opening, the upper radiator hose would not have been hot. How old is the radiator? It could be plugged and not letting coolant flow. Not sure why the coolant would heat up that fast.

I put a mishimoto radiator in it like 2 years ago. So I doubt it's that. And I kinda thought it wasn't the thermostat in the bak of my head. The sensors for my gauges are on both sides of the tstat.
