my machinist turned my crank to .020 on the mains and .010 over on the thrust. I cant find anywhere that can get them except for him, and he wants 70 bucks for the main bearings.

its pissing me off since It would of cost $80 for him to weld and regrind the thrust. now I am out the $25 that I payed for the original main bearings and now the $70 for the right bearings.

anyone know where I can get main bearings that are .010 over on the thrust? PAW cant and I am about to call summit to see.

Sounds like your machinist is an idiot. Why didn't he turn them all .020???

the flange not the mains.

the actual thrust surface was marred. requiring it to either be turned or welded and sized

If I understand you correctly, he should have took some off of all the main caps, bolted them back on, and align honed the block. You can probably order the odd sizwd bearings individually, but that is a pisspoor jov of machining for an engine. Maybe you should cut your losses and take it to a real shop.

no. the main journals on the Crank were turned .020 and the thrust surface of the CRANK was turned .010

nothing on the block was done to the mains.
