oxygen sensor hole dimensions??

My back left O2 sensor was damaged and I had to remove it. I was looking to plug it up until my new sensor arrives but need the thread size, etc of the hole so I can screw a bolt in. Its a bassani x-pipe, but since the oem o2 sensor fits, it should be the same thread size, etc. Does anyone know what size bolt will fit?

For some reason 1/2" is coming to mind, but perhaps a quick trip to Ace Hardware to test out some plug sizes would benefit you.
