Hello everyone, I have a 2002 mustang v6. I wondering if someone could help me out with a check engine code. Bought the car knowing it had one and when I ran a obd test on it it's showing P0453 which says evaporative emission switch/circuit high. I looked up on the Internet and so far have replaced the charcoal/vapor canister but that did nothing and today when I was checking the fuel cap I noticed that there's a hole/crack right near the gas cap (will post picture). I was wondering if that could be why it's throwing the code? Or maybe it is the fuel tank pressure sensor located on top of the tank? Don't really want to drop the tank so I was thinking maybe the hole near the gas cap is letting out vapors which in turn is throwing the code? Can anyone PLEASE help.
