Ok heres the deal. I am about 1 day away from buying my procharger kit and im stuck between which blower fits me best. I have anderson blower cams so i know if i get the p1-2 i am going to make big numbers towards the 500hp range and honestly right now i dont want that much hp. Im looking for about 430-440. Also if i get the p1-1 im going to gain more torque but less power. and i dont know to much on the p1.???? Also i dont want to jeopordize blowing my car up with the p1-2 by running out of fuel. But in the future i would like to build the motor for the big numbers so i would probably need the p1-2. Please any advice will help. Thanks

I am one of the biggest P1-2 supporters out there. I have had it on my car for about a year now and with fuel system upgrades and a plenum I have made 430rwhp. I need to do longtubes and cams still and could easily see close to 500hp with that combo.

do yourself a favor and order your kit with the pump and chip deleted and upgrade to the sheetmetal cooler. the money basically will offset but the gains will be huge. remember you can always back the tune off and use a larger blower pulley to keep the boost in check. this blower gives rediculous torque and HP for a street car. I haven't even tapped its potential yet but definately plan to down the road.

you will need Cobra tank and pump setup for sure on your car so don't waste your time with other cheap pieces. also invest in a nice powerpipe from AFM or Western Motorsports. You will also need to upgrade the stock bypass since the P1-2 really pushes it beyond its limits. I plan to do either the Vortech mini or ATI race piece in the near future.

the MY Garage link below my SN will give you some photo's and description of my mods if you want to check it out.

If you need someone to order the blower setup custom from contact Mike at www.dezracing.com and tell him Paul with the Orange 04 sent ya over. He will give you a fair price and put a kit together for you any way you want.

if future plans involve a built short block then get the D1, the p1sc will make nice power in any shape you want but is limited if you want more power. the D1 has less of a chance of belt slipage and is just a better blower with an intercooler.

Showstopper i was at dez's when your car was getting tuned. Small world. Dez is sayin that my car is going to run out of fuel at about 450 and i have the 03 pumps, tank and a kenne bell boost a pump. Its peak power could be close to 490 but i would like to keep it around 430-440 to keep it safe. I think i am going to go with the p1-2. What is the difference in the sheet metal intercooler?? Also would you spend the extra money and get it polished? Thanks

the sheetmetal intercooler is larger than the standard 3 core so it'll help you stay cooler at higher boost levels. its a $300 option for you now or like $1k later seperate. without getting the pump and chip in the Procharger kit you will save $200 so it basically offsets. I did also opt up for the polishing which cost me an added $160. you really need to work to keep it clean though.

I am running the 3.4 pulley on the car and have seen peeks of 17lbs on the dyno and usually 15-16 on the street. alot of that is exhaust restrictions I'm sure and you will definately see that change next year! I am interested in how you make out with the combo. I want cams next year also and plan to just let the car make what its gonna make.

you won't outgrow the P1-2 unless your planning to go into the 600hp range. you really can't beat it for the street cause you don't need to spin it up top to make the boost and HP and you don't have a big TQ falloff either.

mine was the first car out of Dez's shop to sport this blower and I think its proven itself quite well. I know he recommends it now to many people. I offered to let him bolt a P1-1 to my car for testing if he gets a head unit just for comparison. be curious to see the under curve on that blower versus mine.
