Hello everyone. Last night, I backed up the stock tune of the car and installed a custom tune from a local Diablo dealer using my predator. I started the car last night with no check engine light. This morning, I start it to go to work and the light comes on after several minutes. I scan it and I get P1000 and P1639. I know P1000 is common in a newly programmed car (has not gone away) but I'm really worried about the P1639 code (ID Block corrupt or not programmed). I've heard it means the PCM may be fried. Is this true? There were no hangups during the tune unstall or anything so I thought everything went fine and the car runs. I just spoke with my tuner (that the custom tune came from) and he is going to build a tune off of the stock tune instead of the templates he usually uses. He hasn't seen a P1639 code, but sometimes the ecm's don't like the templates he uses to build the tunes. He thinks the car is still ok because it still runs fine with no driveability issues. Do you think a change of the custom tune would help me? Any thoughts would be great!
