I didnt read all this again, but what did you do with the sense wiring that is in the OEM charge cable harness?
 
What kind of gauge are you using? I wonder if you could test the voltage at the battery and alternator and get a better idea at what the voltage is at. Maybe (I don't know if its possible) the gauge in the car is messed up.
 
Yeah, that's a good idea, dec. I'll try that tonight. However, I noticed when pulling into the garage last night that the headlights are pretty dim at idle and noticeably brighter when I give it a little gas. That tells me it's not charging like it should. :( Well, we'll see. Thanks for the help!!
