A poster in 4.6 talk told me to ask for DocGTO.

My brother just bought a 2005 400HP LS2 6-Speed GTO and we haven't raced yet because he wants to break it in first, but I'm sure that I can beat him pretty easy unless we just went for an all-out top speed race. He's already talking about adding a "75HP package" that includes: LT headers, mid-pipe, cat-back, custom tuning and custom CAI. What will he actually need to beat my Mustang? Some of the GTO guys said he would need: Heads, cam, full exhaust and gears to beat me.

My mods are: KB making 11psi boost, cool air kit, 90mm meter, big tube kit with 75mm TB, 4.10 Ford RG&P, Trans Cooler, Steeda Stage 1,2,3 and Magnaflow O/R X-pipe + SS Catback w/Dynomax "Bullets"

Thanks.

Ya know, this would have made an awesome Private Message.

hahaha.. bad cleveland bad...

MEandmyKB= I think he will need more then a 75hp package to make up for your KB. Dont sweat it.. just practice your take offs and you should be good :nice:

439 hp at your rear tire; well if he adds a full exhaust, cai and a good tune to his GTO he will probably be close to 400 at the rear tire. Just hope he doesn't tune in a 100 shot. After all you are using a power adder so it would be fair.

Break in on the LS2 computer is a real good idea but just exhaust, CAI and a dyno tune will give him about 370-375 rwhp at the most. I didn't see what car you drive but I assume a 03/04 Cobra with KB with lower boost or a GT/Mach with an aftermarker KB kit. The weight of the 03/04 Cobra is real close to the 05 GTO but the standard GT is 200-300 lbs less but add the S/C stuff on top so lets just say 200 less. At your present state of tune you will be able to pull him unless he is the greatest driver in the world and you just suck at launching it and can't make it up in the 1/4. I would put my money on you for now. If your brother does those mods and adds heads/cam then he will be 430ish rwhp. Those mods and a maggie, cam, meth injection is about 450 rwhp, and if he does Vortec/Procharger and a cam then 470-550 rwhp. The easy way would be the mods he states, 100 shot , and a NO2 tune and he would be at 430-450 rwhp (well over 500 rwtq). In the latter states of tune I would place my money on him!

Enjoy and be safe!
