Non tech ? - What to use for removing paint overspray on window trim?

My car door paint was touched up and I noticed some slight overspray on the window trim. What's the best way to remove this? Paint thinner, turpentine, acetone, mineral spirits??? Vodka!?

Would masking tape be safe enough to use to protect the paint on my door when using these chemicals?

Thanks for any insight!

Thinner takes off fresh paint (few days old)......off the trim and off your car lol.

Even if its dry it should still come off the trim with a little bit of rubbing.

Painters tape would be good to use to mask off areas. The crappy brown masking tape that you get at walmart wont protect much of anything.

Forgot to mention ....

the paint has been on the plastic/rubber trim piece for months so it's not "fresh". Will thinner still work?

Thinner may work, you might have scrub a littile, if it doesn't work just get some trim paint.

If the paint didn't bond, a solvent like acrysol might do the trick. Try less harsh chemicals first, then go to paint thinner or MEK.
