Paint and chrome won't get you home?

I don't get it. Watching CMT "trick my truck" (Semi's). The show starts out with a Marine and his wife and family. He makes his living driving his semi. His wife complains that his truck is in need of help and breaking down twice a week on the road. So.....she calls CMT "Trick My Truck" and they give the truck a complete make-over and it looks brand new...


BUT the do nothing with the engine or mechanicals. Now being an all go - no-show guy myself...won't it look nice and all perty while it is being towed down the road. Why don't they do anything to fix up the engine and drive-train???

They should make a show where you take sick and injured people and give them beauty make-overs.
