Well it was kinda rainy out today and I had to watch my son while the wife was painting the living room so I couldnt take my pony out for a run. Instead, I took off the 4.6 fender emblems, the emblems on the trunk and the rear wing. I put on a new emblem on the trunk to cover the holes there behind the blue oval but I think i want to get the front fenders and trunk deck filled and painted. What kinda of $$ am I looking at for a job like that? Also how long will I have to let the shop have my car?

And in the meantime is there anything that will get the small discolorations off the deck where the gasket was between the wing and deck. And is there any particular brand of touch up paint to use to paint the nylon plugs. Its a silver 2001 if it matters.

I wouldnt think any more then a few hundred. The problem is they have to buy at least a pint of paint right....and the prep time is probably less then the setup time. Do you have anything else you need painted? Aftermarket bumper or any chips dings or scratches? If so have them done all at the same time.

I went to my local body man and he said $150 - 200 to fix all the chips dings and dry spots on the paint. Then he said take it to a detailer for them to wet sand it and polish it to a mirror finish.

Good luck!
