I had my car in the garage with the drivers door open, the car popped out of gear and rolled back. The door and window caught the wall and garage door track. There wasn't alot of damage but I have a couple of small scratches on the door. Any suggestions on a good buffing compound/wax that I could use on the scratches.

If you can feel the scratches then you will not be able to get them out. I used 3M polishing compound on a few small scratches on my 03 GT rear bumper and it took them right out. I applied some meguiars high tech yellow wax after and it shined like new again.

I hope that you can get the scratches out. I had to take my 2001 GT to the detailer just to get some scratches out of the driver's side door and rear quarter panel next to the driver's door. The jerk that did my inspection sticker 2 years ago rubbed some keys that he had hanging on the side of his pants on the driver's door and rear side quarter panel. He scratched up those areas on the side of my Mustang and I had to get it detailed. Some of the scratches did not come out. They were hairline scratches. To this day, some are still in the clearcoat. It all depends as to how deep the scratches are embedded in the clearcoat. When the scratches are deep inside the clearcoat, it's going to take 2 or 3 details to be done to your Mustang before most of the scratches come out. That's what it took for my 2001 GT. I am going to get my 2001 GT detailed again this late spring for the 3rd time and I am hoping that the rest of the scratches can come off.

If you can see the primer than buffing won't do much at all. If that's the case, you will need to wetsand it which is pretty easy to do yourself.

Go here and do a search for wetsanding.
