Parking brake linkage - help!

OK, So I got the cable that comes from the stupid under-dash umbrella thing poking through the firewall, and I've got the cable from the rear brakes to the u shaped bracket and a threaded rod (with a dog leg in it) under the car. From the parts books I can see that I need a pivot bracket, which I don't have. I can buy one from pretty much anywhere, but how does it fit? Any pics guys?

Thanks.

Rube Goldberg was the creator/inventor of those crazy machines of intense complication that did simple tasks using rolling balls, ramps, toasters, alarm clocks, levers, and all sorts of appliances. You used to see examples in Bugs Bunny or Tom and Jerry cartoons. The old board game Mousetrap is a good example. There is an annual Rube Goldberg competition over here that university teams enter to build the most complicated machines for something as innane as frying an egg for example. To describe any device or system as Goldberg-esque is basically saying that it is a jumble of seemingly unrelated components assembled to complete a simple task.
