Do the parking lights on a 66 coupe stay on when headlights are turned on? I have a buddy with a 66 coupe and when he pulls the switch on he gets parking lights but when he pulls on the headlights the parking lights go out. The blinkers still work fine in either position.

I have a brand new light switch here and yes, there is a terminal on it that is live when in park and goes out when the main beams are turned on. If this terminal is connected to your park lights I imagine that is the result you will get. Having said that, there's no way you want your rear parklights to go out when you turn on main beam.

It wasn't until the 68 model year that cars had the parking lights stay with the headlights. 68 was the year the govt. mandated many safety changes, side marker lights, padded steering wheels with colapseable columns, larger inside rear view mirror, bigger arm rest pads covering the door handles, shoulder belts... the list goes on.
