Stang is getting parked for about a year to undergo a major overhaul. Tranny, engine, drivetrain, the works. What should I do in prep for this long garage period? Obviously don't keep any full in the tank and make sure to keep it off the wheels to reduce wear. What else?

You WANT to keep a full tank of gas to keep moisture out. Put a can of gas stabilizer in the gas, too.

What about the fuel lines? Will they be ok?

Yep. All the fuel in the fuel lines will probably be used during initial start up while oil pressure is stabilizing, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Fill her up with gas, and park it. Thats what we've done every year with a 1975 Trans Am, and never had a problem. Since you are working on it, don't worry.

Doesn't Stabil recommend to run the engine for a few moments after you put in the fuel stabilizer to thoroughly mix it and get it to the injectors?
To keep the interior from growing mildew and mold, set one or two bags of kitty litter, open, on the floor and in the trunk. It doesn't have to be the fancy stuff.
A coat of wax for the paint.

He's just parking the car for 6 months at most. I have never put kitty litter in the car, or raised it off the wheels, or even put stabil in a full tank of gas in any car I store. I fire it up in the spring after building pressure. No problemo! Just wash it, clean out the interior, put gas in it, and park it. Thats all.

All I did was put a full tank of gas and some Stabil in her. She's been started 3-4 times in more than a year and never had a problem.
