Well this is part 2 of my 351 build. As some of you seen in i guess part 1 i made a few wrong decisions in my build, and well the numbers was poor and i was very unhappy! My new combo is gonna be these pistons from WISCO Wiseco PT031H4 - Wiseco Pro Tru Forged Piston Kits – SummitRacing.com summit claims they are 10.5:1 with 62CC heads. But with my 58CC AFR 185 heads i should be right at 11:1. I called jay allen to do a custom grind billet roller cam. I'm going to convert to roller since i'll have the block apart to install the new pistons.I have a few questions tho. What all is involved in installing new pistons? Is all i have to do is rehone the cylinders? Will these pistons fit my stock rods?I plan to install these with the roller conversion kit and drill and tap the valley instead of using the link bar set up.I'm hoping to hit 11:1 (if summit is correct) and also spray a 200 shot.Any helpfull hints would be appreciated. What should i expect at the wheels with this set up N/A?I'm currently at about 8:1 and my numbers are in my sig. I will post pics as the work goes on and parts come in. peace

damn those look good!! Ive got some forged trickflows myself just chilling under the bed
Trick Flow Specialties TFS-51404221 - Trick Flow® Forged Pistons – SummitRacing.com

the link u posted is for 4.040 bore? why bore your block out that much? from my understanding, ud want to bored it out as little as possible, to allow it to be used for future rebuilds, the ones I posted are for 4.030. Either way they look nice! U going to be building it yourself? Please post up some good pics of the proccess, somewhat of a walkthrough maybe? id like to tear into mine, but dont have the skills or knowledge to do so=-( and I dont want to screw anything up and trash my pistons or heads, hence they sit under the bed.

Just a thought, but if you're going to have it that torn apart, and are spending the money on new pistons, why not just buy a stroker kit? I don't know what your financial situation is, but that is a lot of work for just new pistons.

john, if you wanna just new pistons you're best bet is, tear the motor down, take the block, pistons, and old piston/rods into a machine shop. have them hang the pistons on the rods, and mic. the block and pistons for clearance. they can tell you what needs done prior to assembly.

Alot of work????? As in???????Well there is talks again of a possible lay off in november again,i'm secure now but thats only 6 months away. Plus if i do a stroker it's either a 408 or 427! Either way i dont have the $3000 alone just for new heads!Parts alone with what i plan to do now is right at about $1100 new tune if needed $30. peace
