Needing a list of what at the minimum I need to get this Turbo Swap started.

Already have a 92 2.3L Mustang 5 speed

2.3L Motor
Large VAM (what models did these come on)
Computer (seems that an La3 is preferable)

Does a standard T5 tranny work with clutch and pressure plate for a TC seem to be the best way to go??

Just want to get it up and running then will be doing some more mods slowly as more money comes along.

Stinger has it pretty covered here. Standard 2.3 clutch, pressure plate etc will be ok for now. Now if go extreme you will have to do things but like you said walk before running. Maurice

So my 2.3L n/a tranny will work (for the time being)?

I know it will blow eventually. I just want to get it running and move on from there. When the tranny goes, buy the adapter to run a sbf tranny since they are a dime a dozen, when the rear end goes throw in a 8.8, maybe even do an IRS setup.

I just want to get the thing running and move up from there.

I agree get running first. There is a big learning curve on the turbo. I went from MG's [carb] to turbo [efi]. So that is reason I say that. There is a difference in the 5.0 t-5. If remember correct in input shaft size. I am not real familiar on the t-5 some others may help more. I am running a c-4 behind my 2.3t. Unsure if spoke to you before. I am in central Ky if that helps when you do decide to do it. Best luck Maurice

From my reading here:
5.0 bellhousing on a 2.3 block
and
STINGER PERFORMANCE PARTS - 2.3 Turbo Performance Parts for Mustang SVO, Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, Merkur XR4Ti, Pinto, Ranger, and Sand Rails

All the sbf components work with no problems one just needs to use a zero balance flywheel with the 2.3L crank bolt pattern.

I too am in Central Kentucky.
shoot me an e-mail to black0111@gmail.com if you don't mind. I may need some help one this thing gets underway if you don't mind.

Thanks.
