Parts, Readed the books now need help on parts!

Wednesday the 26 I plan to pull the motor out of my fox and freashen it up a bit. With that said I'm going to replace all the gaskets in there, my question is what gasket have PROVEN THEIR SELFS. Its have 5.0 bock with elderbrock heads on. I figure/assume the headgasket needs to be certain materail for it to get good seal on iron block and alumn. heads.

Also what brand of water pump? I know its stupid to say but I went to summit and they have 4524524 different kinds. My rev limit is 6k, I know I wont be spending all my time up there but a good bit. I was looking in to the ford racing (since its kinda OEM parts) for about 60 bucks, but it made to rev to 6k. I figure it would be a good idea to get something that made to rev little past that. Am I on the right track or just over thinking here?

Also APR bolts kits I need to tq them down, loosen them, re tq correct? Do this about 5-6 times then tq them down for good?

I also need to look in to getting a harmonic balancer. I found summit racing one for 120-130 and its SFI approve

I've used the Ford Racing graphite head gaskets as well as fel-pros, never had problems with either one. For intake go with fel-pros 1250. Get the ONE PIECE oil pan gasket, trust me on that one. I have an auto zone water pump on my car for 4 years now, 6000 rpms, no problems. What bolts are you talking about? Head bolts? Run the car through a couple heat cycles then go back in and re-torque them, sometimes they move, sometimes they don't. Usually you have to do the intake bolts a few times though. Balancer is up to you, just make sure it is 50oz imbalance.

are the fel-pros 1250 the same one that are included in the ford racing high performance engine gasket kit?

Where are u getting the kit from? If its from summit they will tell u exactly what gasket ur getting for each one in the kit.

they tell you what gasket you are getting but not what its made out of
they just say "intake manifold gasket" " oil pan" ect.
