I would have posted this 2 days ago but my computer was messed up but now its up and running. I woke up tuesday morning and found my hood not porperly closed, when I opened it I found that my upper intake manifoid was missing, looks like someone was stalking me to see where I live. Looks like the guy(s) got scared off because they just stole the upper intake and not the entire thing. Also, things that could have been easily stolen like my MSD box was not. What should I do, I was thinking of upgrading to the GT40 intake or getting the entire holly 350 system while I'm at it ( I was saving up for a paint job and finally have 2000 for it).

Did you make a police report?
I'm assuming (by your sig) that it was a Cobra upper?
Keep an eye on your local paper and on ebay!
would you be able to tell if it is yours?
But, yeah I guess that's what I would do, buy a GT40 upper, and an alarm.

i'm supprised that they didn't tear up your hood to get access in it. Or brake a window to get inside the car to release the hood. But I guess not everyone locks their car. But then again, if they really want in the car, locks arn't going to stop them. What a world we live in.

I know people mix the two intakes sometimes. I'm not sure if the GT40 and Cobra combo works though, don't know why it wouldn't.

They will bolt up; both have the same siamese pattern. I believe the GT-40 set flows a little better, so having a GT-40 upper on a Cobra lower really won't make much difference since it'll bog at the lower...if that's wrong, someone correct me.

I bet it was someone who's seen under your hood; kinda seems like they knew you had that upper and they wanted it...I mean, yeah, why not steal the easier stuff first like the MSD box and stuff? Also, they knew the sizes of the bolts to pull the upper off.

Yeah, I'd watch the papers and ebay, but i'd be willing to bet their car will be sucking air through your upper. That sucks.

The upper only will work... Some lowers won't work on certain year EFI 5.0's without modifaction. You'll be alright with any gt-40/cobra/explorer though assuming you route the vaccum right.

If you plan on getting some high flowing heads, then sell your Cobra lower on ebay (maybe the guy who ripped off your upper will buy it, sorry jkg) and buy an Edlebrock or Trick Flow or if you like to save money like me, a Typhoon.

You need to invest in a security paging system for your car. That way you can have a pipe handy to use all of your god given strength to break his arms and legs.
- at least mess his face up for life. I would

you can actually pop your hood from under ther front bumper... all it takes is a screwdriver and their in... no need to break into the cockpit just the front. I believe Mavromont sold a plate that restricted access to the underside of the hoodlock i cant remember though... I read this in an issue of Muscle Mustangs but i cant remember which one... guess ill have to go through the ARCHIVEs...lol
