Can anybody here tell me what is so bad about patriot heads? I seached thread after thread people just say that they suck but dont give examples why? Iam asking because I just installed my accel coils and bbk 75 mm throtle body and plenum and later plans call for 3.73s then heads and cams with a good tune some say that all the problems are ironed out but what are/where they?

I've heard rumors of quality issues with the consistency of their port work and valve grinding.....but as with any internet spread gossip, you've got to take it with a grain of salt. I'd sugest talking to members who've actually owned a pair of their heads, rather than taking the word of a friend of a friends, brothers, uncle who knew a guy that bought a used set from EBay.

I've got Patriot Stage II heads and have never had any problems with them. When I ordered them I called and spoke with several shops who had work with them and they all said that the problems they had have been resolved. I would recommend them to anyone.

yes my car has been dynoed. I am using crower stage III blower cams. My motor is completely built and I'm running 12-13 lbs of boost on the street and putting down 552rwhp and 536rwtq

We have smog laws here (Utah), just not as strict as California and some other states...if you go with stage II's you shouldn't have a problem unless you live in California

The problem Patriot was having was with valve guides and poor machineing leading to oil consumption etc but they may have had this problem fixed. I know 2-3 years ago when i was in the market for P&P'd heads it seemed like threads were popping up everyday on multiple forums complaining of poor quality so i went with VT and couldn't be happier.
