Walsh to meet with NFL about his career with the Pats. he previously refused to talk with the NFL until they gave him indemnity. they finally gave him his wish. there has to be a good reason he wanted to cover his legal butt.

probably because he was the one who suggested the Patriots tape the signals.

gotta love sleaze balls who are as guilty as the perpetrators, but want "immunity".

If I were Roger Goodell, I'd have said, you either turn over the tapes, or I will recommend the Patriots move forward with a defamation suit, breach of contract (for revealing team secrets), etc etc, and then I would have filed a suit for the NFL, stating that Walsh was defaming the league....that would have gotten those tapes quick fast and in a hurry.

basically it's just extortion without the involvement of money.

huh? Walsh in no way was ever trying to gain from the situation. if anything, he's been trying to distance himself from it. it's the NFL and Congress that have been trying desperately to get him to speak. only after a newspaper reported Walsh's involvement did he come forward stating he had tapes, at which point he tried to cover his ass legally. i can't say i blame the guy. Patriots management instructed him to do the taping.

If I had done the taping and Congress wanted me to testify, I know I'd want immunity also. If they refused to give it to me, I'd pull a Bill Clinton and not recall any details of anything.

The NFL is very rich and powerful. I seriously doubt anything will come of this.
Belichick, Brady and crew will be back and very competative in 2008 like they have been since football first began in New England back in 2001.

yes he's trying to gain immunity for the wrong doing of taping another team. just because you're told to do something, doesn't mean you have to do it if it's not right, legal, acceptable. that should be on Mr. Walsh for his lack of integrity to make a decision for himself to do the right thing.

I never said he was trying to gain money or possessions, additionally, he is in possession of property belonging to the New England Patriots. I'm sure as it is in most places, that all property belonging to the New England Patriots should have been returned at the time of termination of employment whether by the team or by the employee. That's called "stealing".

so there's two strikes against Mr. Walsh

my point exactly, he's done wrong, and possibly the Patriots have done wrong, so he's trying to save his ass and hang the Patriots out to dry, with "stolen New England Patriots property" of alleged videos that he "shot" when he "knew" it was against NFL Rules to do so....(might I note I am speaking in the pretense that these allegations have merit and are proven to be true). Therefore he is just as guilty as the Patriots, and should be disciplined/banned by the league.

Getting pwned again?.. Not exactly.

Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft have already admitted to everything they have done. The NFL and the Patriots organization had already given him immunity, but he still refused to do it saying that he didn't have enough legal security. It is highly unlikely that he has anything, such as the Ram's walk-thru for the Superbowl. The guy is just a pissed off former employee who wants to tarnish the name of the people who fired him. He keeps delaying this whole process, which New England has been trying to get sped up so they can see what this guy says he has. The guy is a joke and if he comes forward with more videos of taped signals, it will be a HUGE waste of time and the Patriots organization should just sue his ass for trying to tarnish their name even further.

And on October 20th, it will be a beat down.. Broncos gettin whooped up on. They're not the Giants, they don't have the pass rush to stop Brady.

Patroit fans can act smug about it all they want, but there are three things certain in life. Death, taxes and the Broncos beating the Patroits. We've beaten them with far less talented teams than we have now, and Brady always has his worst days against us.

We all know that there is no team the Patroits fear like the Broncos.

I think we fear the Dolphins worse than the Bronco's The Bronco's may have beaten the Pats in '05 a couple times, but they haven't gone up against THIS Patriots team.. ya know, the one with Brady-to-Moss. They don't have the pass-rush to keep the Pats from scoring 30+ points; they're not the Colts, Chargers or Giants.

First Monday Night game at Foxboro since '05. That's all I need to say.. just wait and see

The Broncos have pretty much ALWAYS owned the Pats. The ONLY time Belicheat's team has beaten Shanahan's was in 2003 when we were down to our THIRD string QB and we still almost beat you. Moss is not a problem. Remember, we have Champ Bailey. We'll stick him on Moss and he'll be a non factor. Bly, Foxworth, Paymah and our rookie will handle the rest of your receivers.

I don't see our pass rush being a problem either. On paper it was bad last year, but we ran a defensive scheme that didn't fit our players for the first half of the year and then tried to run a new scheme for the second half. Don't forget we got 2nd year players who will be making a BIG jump (Jarvis Moss, Tim Crowder, Marcus Thomas) a great situational pass rusher (Elvis Dumervil) and we traded for Dewayne Robertson, who is extremely talented.

Believe me, this team is going to be a force to be reckoned with in 08.

every time the Pats and Broncos play it's a pretty damn good game. I am a Broncos fan first and foremost, but I still have lots of respect for the Pats, so if the Pats win, I'm not upset, because at least we lost to a damn good team.

Then how come the only time Belicheck (sp?) has beaten the Broncos is in 2003 when the Broncos were down to a 3rd string quarterback and the game still turned into a nail bitter?

I don't think anyone can deny that we have the Pats number in a major way. Hell, Elway was 11-0 against the Pats during his career.

Did anyone read the article about Walsh sending the NFL all of his video tapes?!...... Well, I suggest you read it and shut the **** up... Where are the videos of the SB Walk-through? NOWHERE!! He doesn't have them!! Now his attorney is claiming that he never said he had any and that it was pure media speculation.. what a piece of ****. Pats should sue his ass for defamation for that crap; trying to say they taped those walk-throughs before the superbowls, then saying he never said it/doesn't have any video of it/no evidence to support such a claim.

Looks like Walsh pwned himself, not the Patriots. All he did was drag all of this crap out longer than it needed to be and irritate the NFL Commissioner and the Patriots just to provide video for what was already admitted to the NFL by Belichick and the Patriots organization; taped signals. I hope he gets sued and/or mugged in a dark alley for this crap.. what a waste of time.

Only reason he wanted immunity is b/c he opened his mouth about crap and didn't have anything to back it up so he wanted immunity or he was going to be sued to all hell!!!!! what dirt bag. Maybe all you haters can put this spygate crap to rest, its OVER its BEEN OVER since week 1 last season. Let it die.

huh? that makes no sense. Walsh has sent 8 tapes to the NFL now that he has immunity. the NFL will probably penalize the Pats even more now. what did i open my mouth too soon about?
