LOL. Since they are nearly identical '91 LX Hatchbacks with a sunroof, it got confusing to friends and family when I described the cars to them. I had to say, "the one with the turbo," or "the other one that I got more recently." The names work more easily.
Black Jack was easy, because my family was on a bit of a Black Jack kick at the time. Man o' War was a little different. The name might confuse hard core fox body guys, because it has nothing to do with the block, which is a Dart Iron Eagle, not a World Products "Man o' War." The name comes from a discussion with my mom and step father who love horses. I asked for some names of famous black horses from history. "Bucephalus" was the first suggestion, because that was the name of Alexander The Great's famous black horse. I just rolled with laughter from that suggestion! Can you imagine? Perhaps, just maybe, I'll name some future black mustang that.
Anyway, Jim's second suggestion was Man o' War, which is perhaps the second most famous race horse, following Secretariat. I was like, "Oh wow! Man o' War was black?!" Jim thought so, but mom rolled with laughter this time. It turns out that Man o' War was a chestnut, but since there were only black and white photos of him, Jim had always assumed he was black. So, considering the story, I had to go with it!
