When are you supposed to replace this and also what other things should be replaced in the engine bay??? I assume I can get this from randy cheap!
Hmmm, I thought it would be ok to use an AutoZone PCV. But based on your post I will go get a new one from the Ford Parts Counter. Is the 2006 Ford Racing Performance Parts catalog out yet? I need one of those also...RandyStinchcomb said:PCV valves should be replaced every 30k and again, DO NOT BUY these aftermarket, buy genuine Ford. price is @$6.50

RandyStinchcomb said:I've repeated this several times before, so here goes:
Ford designs a part to work wthin certian parameters, say from Y to Z, now the aftermarket opens up these parameters, say T to Z so that ther part might have many other appts, not just a certian car/truck line. when you open up these parameters, you lose some of the effectiveness(is this even a word?) of this part and its performance.
things you should not buy aftermarket: PCV valves, IAC valves, TPS, 02's, IAT, ECT and other sensitive electronic sensors. you may save a $ or 2 by going to parts stores but the performance of the part will cost you in the long run. I know alot of you will dis-agree but I've been in the automotive business for over 30 years(25 years wth Ford and 5 years doing aftermarket parts) and I've seen this happen so many times. whats that old Fram comerical? "you can pay me now or pay me later"
Give Me TP said:Psssst....Fram is aftermarket
