You didnt say what cam, pistons, or heads you have.

If you have that then you have to buy a screw in stud conversion kit which fills in the nothch and has a push rod guide on it. There only about $70.00. So you will be just fine buying true rollers as long as they come with studs in the kit, if not you'll just have to buy them according to the thread size.
Pedestal heads do not have to have cutouts for the pedestal base to locate in. That is what the stamped steel channels are for that come on stock E7s and are reused on aftermarket heads like my Edelbrocks. And what are "true rollers"?
