People with raised floors in their trunks, please come in

Well I just finished running all the wiring for my battery relocation and I'm quite pleased with the results. The car starts just as good as before, and the battery shut-off switch works like a charm. So needless to say I am very pleased right now.

My question is this. Because of how big of wire I ran for everything I need to raise my trunk floor up about 2.5 to 3 inches so they will all be hidden. I was wondering what you guys that have done this already used to frame it all up. I was going to use some 2X4's that I'll rip down to the right width, but I was just wondering what all you guys have used. Also how did you guys go about securing the frame work to the car itself. L-brackets and screws? Or do you just let it slide around a bit. Well thanks in advance and any pictures you could provide of your frame work would be greatly appreciated.

Kind of confuesed from what your saying. Do you mean to add a floor to the trunk to make it flat just to hide the wire? You could just run it along the wheel wells or drill through and run the line under the car if that's what your taking about. I really don't see adding all that weight. I've scene people cut out the floorboard in the back and make thier own but out of metal.

I could do what you are saying but where I brought my wires up at kind of screws me then. I also want the false floor, so I can flush mount my amp in the floor. I'm not to concerned with the weight of the car as of right now either. Thanks again.

I just did my custom rear deat delete and this was a step that was involved. Get some 2x2 pieces of wood and build a frame, lay some mdf boards on top (cut to the correct size) the wood is all pretty light.

What did you do to attach the frame to the car itself? Or does the frame fit tight enough where you don't have to attach it. Thanks
