People with stock clutch cables and Firewall Adjusters.. Need Help!!

I bought this package

and along with a UPR Firewall Adjuster (sets the cable housing 1/2" further away from the firewall than stock), the cable seems really short. From the looks it only sticks past the opening of the bellhousing about 1/2" which doesnt seem like enough distance for the fork to disengage the clutch let alone leave room for later adjustment. I'm currently having some clutch problems so I'm not sure where a new clutch would put the clutch fork to see if it would even work.

Has anyone had this problem with a stock cable and an aftermarket firewall adjuster? Also is the cable I ordered the same length as stock? How close does the clutch fork sit to the front part of the window opening on the bellhousing??

Couple questions. What quadrant do you run? Since you have a FWA, I assume it is not stock. Some old school or weird aftermarket quadrants have too long of a forward throw for the stock cable to work (My old Single hook SVO quadrant was like this).
Also, I hate to say it (dont be offended), but remember to remove the grommet on the new cable before installing the FWA.

I run a UPR single hook, stock cable and UPR extreme FWA and it went on fine.

I removed the grommet and shaved the little tabs and it slides all the way inside the FWA.

The quadrant I am using is a BBK and has worked perfect with my adjustable cable. Maybe this could be the culprit with a stock cable? I'm sure a Steeda or a UPR 3 Hook design would maybe suffice me better for more adjustability?

I can tell ya that in my case, the Ford adjustable cable was longer than the OEM style. I kinda wanted to keep my SVO quadrant but couldnt with the OEM cable.

Do you know if the BBK has a real long throw? When I hold my SVO single hook quad over the UPR single hook, the SVO pieces is about twice as long. And that was the difference.

I have found when using a stock cable and firewall adjuster you need a multiple hook quadrant, I usually end up on the second or middle hook.

Looks like I'm going to have to go with another quadrant. I assume you're talking about the UPR Triple Hook Design? Is the "end" hook on this quadrant the same as most aftermarket or stock? What I'm asking is if it only makes the cable seem longer than it really is and not shorter? If so, It's exactly what I need.

I had to use the triple-hook UPR quad on mine to make the OEM cable fit. Slips onto the first (shortest distance from firewall) hook. I come up about 1/8" short of trying to fit it onto the second hook. If the cable stretches out over time, I might move it up to there, but thus far, it hasn't budged in three months, and I haven't had to adjust for slack at all.

Thanks for the reply! I couldn't figure out how everyone was doing the stock cable and FWA and I was having a problem.

I used a UPR single hook quadrant Stock Cable and FWA. But I don't recommend or encourage anything from them due to poor business ethics.

I've actually had no problem in the past ordering my smog pump delete but that was in the beginning of the summer. I've heard some horror stories...

Well I used to work for them and started the whole dress up "bling" thing with what they are selling today. I was supposed to go into business with the owner and, as with others, he took my ideas and contacts for machine shops and decided he did not want my help anymore.

As far as I'm concerned, anyone like that with NO MORALS and NO EDUCATION who makes Millions off others ideas should be put in a Turkish Prision and burned at the stake UPR and beaten.

I didn't want to create a new post for the same type of thing.
I just changed out my stock clutch cable and also now have a firewall adjuster.
This setup came with no instructions.

I can't seem to figure out what goes where.

To start off with I removed the rubber grommet from the cable and got stuck.

From here am I do force item 3 in place of the rubber grommet on the cable?

If I'm looking at your pics correctly, Item 2 goes into the firewall and is held in position by the one screw. Item 3 then spins into item 2 for your adjustability.

Does 3 go over the plastic portion of the cable itself?

Yes... but you gotta trim the tabs off of the plastic portion first if they're still there (pic is too blurryt obe sure).
