I'm running the percy's and they are a good gasket, however they are NOT blow proof like they say. I lost my passenger side gasket less than a month after putting headers on my car. I bought another set and replaced the burnt gasket and they have been fine since.

BTW when they start to go they make a funny whistle/whining sound real similair to a loose belt, idler pulley going out.

We have had great luck with Percy's new pure carbon gaskets. We use them on our turbo vehicles which are really hard on exhaust gaskets.

I've always heard to stick with OEM gaskets.

They really aren't that expensive if you stop to consider the fact that any other gasket will blow. Also, how much is you time worth? If you have to replace them over and over again, now THAT's expensive.

The stock gasket has a 40 mm opening (1.575"). The cylinder head opening is typically 1.5 mm smaller radially, so you're prolly okay using the 1.5" gasket opening.
