Performance Clutch

Stock clutch disc material and pressure plate clamping force aren't as tough and can not manage/hold the power that your car is putting out.

Aftermarket clutches have different clutch disc material and pressure plate holding power to keep the clutch clamped together to your flywheel without slipping as the power increases...

After market clutches will hold more power! There is nothing wrong with waiting till the stock one goes out, just plan on towing it home from the strip. So if you feel it start slipping you might wan't to have a replacment clutch ready. After my stock one went out in a blaze of glory I upgraded to a Centerforce dual friction, it puts the power to the ground alot better.
