Hello, I am thinking about buying a set of the new ceramic coated MAC longtubes for my automatic gt. My question to you all is from your experiences are longtubes on the automatic worth it? What kind of realistic gains should i expect with a good tune? Just curious, but Do longtubes increase gas mileage or cause more gas to be burnt? Thanks in advance for any help.

What kind of mid-pipe are you planning on using ? Are you going to buy one custom made for long tube headers or will you have your Bassani X cut and welded to fit with the long tubes ?

Long tube headers usually add 12-15rwhp theirselves to most 99-04GT's. You may or may not loose gas mileage with them. I didn't loose or gain any with mine. You may experience some loss in low end torque but thats normal with any high flow exhuast setup. A good tune should help to correct that though. How much power a dyno tune will add, I'm not sure.

I will be picking up my car later today with newly installed Hooker LT headers and o/r x-pipe. The shop is also going to dyno my car before and after the installation. I will be sure to post the results.

I'd guess about 22rwhp over stock with both. Please post a new thread. All of us can use the dyno results.
